Clash of The Titans

Review by Peter Ricci – Flix|Critic

I’m not going to hate like all the other critics around the US. Clash of the Titans rocks if you’re a young man age 14 – 28, anyone older who’s seen the original might tear it apart. I enjoyed the film, its splashy digital effects, high action, and quick. If you’re looking for true to heart Greek mythology this movie is not 100%, it’s a glimpse of what could be, but this new a 3D-fixated reinterpreting Ray Harryhausen’s ’80s epic Clash of the Titans is for the CG-aholic audience. It’s a definite E-ticket attraction if I have ever seen one. In case you’re unfamiliar with a Harryhausen film, I suggest you revisit some of the king’s best stop motion animation, which now a day generation will find to be rather comedic and cheesy. They are still classic’s and renovated the movie genre in it’s time; such Harryhausen classic’s are Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, Jason and the Argonauts, and The Golden Voyage of Sindbad.
