Review – Peter Ricci – FlixCritic writer

2012 is high anxiety roller coaster E-ticket attraction. Once it starts there’s no getting off until all is destroyed. The film’s moderate to fast pace and sometimes-stereotypical scenarios drives the film in a predictable manner. I mean really, how many near misses and last second getaways will our leads make it out of before the bitter ending of the world. I don’t mean to rip the movie intense action and amazing special effects, but I didn’t know that a limousine could make through not only one but also several near fatalities. For instance is this limo a super car or what? While other cars are crashing and falling to the earth’s core this limo, driven by John Cusack, is able to clear a collapsing freeway, drive through a crumbling skyscraper, jumping canyons and clear falling debris. No offence, but it was a little offer the top and unrealistic. This movie is definitely a popcorn, candy and soda film.
