Prince of Persia

C+

Review by Peter Ricci – Flix|Critic

Prince of Persia is obviously a Jerry Bruckheimer film.  It’s Disney and Bruckheimer at it again going full throttle yet in another swashbuckler film. This time it’s on a massive scale like Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, which he also directed and produced. This film is not half bad, the only problem is I saw the format from the jump, figured out who was behind the mystery and basically waited for it to end. Of course this film will be followed by typical Disney marketing schemes such as a video-game franchise and possible sequel, but that will be determined on the success of the film.

Sex and the City 2

B-

Review by Peter Ricci – Flix|Critic

“Sex in the City 2” spares no cost to go back to the roots of the story of four women who have grown over a ten-year span of friendship. Where are they now and how they have evolved, or have they? Is marriage everything its cut up to be? typical questions are once asked, but this time it’s not about being single.

Some may say this movie is lacking the sex, but instead this movie is about the friends and where they have gone in their lives. It makes complete sense as it shows real growth of four friends over ten years.

George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead (2010)

D-

Review by Peter Ricci – Flix|Critic

Let’s get right to this for you. If you love Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead and any of the classic zombie genre films of yester-year from George A. Romero this is not one of them. It is a far cry from the early works. His newest film and sequel to his “Dead genre” film is bottom line garbage. “Survival of the Dead” is horrible.  It’s filled with bad acting and campy, cheesy zombies. It’s a decent budget film that comes off like a low-budget waste of film.
